The second-priciest deal was for a penthouse on the Upper West Side, which was asking $26.95 million. Located in a new Robert A.M. Stern building called the Henry, the 6,679-square-foot unit was sold off floor plans a month after the building launched sales.
The penthouse has six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and a terrace with about 750 square feet. Another penthouse in the 18-story, 45-unit building—asking $21.5 million—also sold last week. Amenities include a doorman, a fitness center, a rooftop garden, a pickleball court and a bowling alley.
“The Henry is a true love letter to the neighborhood from Robert A.M. Stern Architects,” said Alexa Lambert of Compass Development Marketing Group in a statement. The design firm is behind some of the highest-profile residential buildings in the city, including 220 Central Park South, which boasts the priciest home ever sold in the U.S.
